Millbury Savings Bank awards scholarships to area graduates

MILLBURY, MASSACHUSETTS, July 24, 2009Millbury Savings Bank recently awarded scholarships totaling $4,000 to five area graduating seniors: Allison Mamishian, Diana Reilly, and Lauryn Weaver, of Millbury, and Christine Andrews and Anna Sheehan, of Sutton.
Ms. Mamishian received the Millbury Savings Bank Scholarship in Memory of Marjorie Matson, who was a long-time bank employee. Ms. Mamishian plans to attend Worcester State College this fall.
Ms. Reilly received the Millbury Savings Bank Achievement Award, which recognizes a student’s academic achievement. She has been accepted to Quinsigamond Community College.
Ms. Weaver received a Millbury Savings Bank Community Spirit scholarship, which honors a student who gives back to the community. She will attend the University of New Hampshire in the fall.
Ms. Andrews and Ms. Sheehan each received individual Millbury Savings Bank scholarships. Ms. Andrews plans to attend Westfield State College and Ms. Sheehan will attend Quinnipiac University.
