Community Involvement

At Millbury Savings Bank, we believe that to be a great bank, you have to be a good neighbor. That's why we think it's important to give back to the neighborhoods we serve.

Over the past two decades, Millbury Savings Bank's charitable giving program has contributed more than $1.5 million to local charitable and civic organizations, youth and senior citizen groups, and other non-profit organizations.

Each year, we provide approximately $80,000 in support to local area organizations. Our contributions range in size, with the average contribution approximately $1,000.

We encourage and accept applications for funding that come from within our geographic footprint—that is, from the cities and towns in which we have offices as well as immediately surrounding communities.

Submissions are reviewed by our board once every two weeks. Requests for funding will automatically be put into consideration for the next available meeting. We apologize, but due to the high volume of requests, Millbury Savings Bank will respond only to those requests receiving funding.

To apply for support for your organization, program, or event, please send a written contribution request including the following:

  • Your organization’s name, primary contact, address, phone number, email address, website, and tax-exempt status.
  • A brief summary of your organization’s purpose and mission, including the service(s) provided.
  • Information about the specific program or event for which you are requesting a contribution, including a brief description, the geographic areas served, and the ages of the populations served.
  • The amount of the contribution requested, your total fundraising goal, and the date by which funding is required.
  • Information about any sponsor recognition or benefits Millbury Savings would receive as a result of this contribution.
  • Your organization’s W-9, 501(c)(3) verification letter, and any supporting documentation.

Mail or email the request to:
