In the spirit of the holiday season, Millbury Savings Bank has donated $3,000 to the Millbury and Sutton police and fire departments.
“It’s the season of giving, and we wanted to do something that benefits all of the residents and businesses in the communities where we do business,” said Robert J. Morton, Millbury Savings Bank’s president and chief operating officer. “Our first responders are there for all of us in times of need, so it seems appropriate to give something back to them in support.”
The Millbury police and fire departments each will receive $1,000, while the Sutton police and fire departments each will receive $500. Each department’s chief will determine how the donation should best be used.
