Millbury Savings elects new trustee and corporators.
Millbury Savings Bank has added a new member to its board of trustees, elected two new corporators, and promoted two employees to bank officer.
Michael P. McDonough has been elected the newest member of the bank’s board of trustees, after serving as a bank corporator since 2010. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and founding partner of the Sutton-based tax and accounting firm McDonough, McDonough & Corsini, LLP. Mr. McDonough serves as a trusted tax advisor, providing strategic tax and business planning to his individual and business clients. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston and then became a sole practitioner where he grew his practice alongside James Beauregard, in Millbury, as part of a well-respected small tax firm. Mr. McDonough holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University. He and his family live in Grafton.
Peter S. Balesano and John K. Esler were elected to 10-year terms on the bank’s board of corporators.
Mr. Balesano has more than 25 years of investment management experience, and currently serves as senior director, Wealth Management, at BNY Mellon. Before that, he was manager of the wealth management group for People’s United Bank, and also was a city executive at Bank of America Private Bank. Mr. Balesano holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Clark University, both in Worcester. He is president of Auburn Youth Basketball, and resides with his family in Auburn.
Mr. Esler is an entrepreneur and the owner of four Renewal by Andersen dealerships across the country with more than 400 employees. As a guest lecturer, student mentor and project sponsor at Babson College, he enjoys keeping abreast of the latest business thinking. Mr. Esler has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from the University of New York at Albany and a master’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. His philanthropic pursuits include Faith Community Church, Whitinsville Christian School, Young Life, World Vision, and Babson College. Mr. Esler and his family reside in Sutton.
The bank also promoted Kelly B. Roy and Ana Vasconcelos to officers.
Ms. Roy joined Millbury Savings in October 2000 as a loan servicing supervisor, and now has been promoted to loan operations officer. Ms. Roy graduated from New England School of Accounting and attended Worcester State University. She serves as treasurer for the Millbury chapter of Dollars for Scholars, an organization that disburses more than $35,000 in scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors. Ms. Roy and her family reside in Millbury.
Ms. Vasconcelos joined Millbury Savings Bank in 2014 as assistant controller, and now has been named finance and accounting officer.Ms. Vasconcelos holds an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Bryant University, and received her bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She and her family live in Lakeville, RI.
