Millbury Savings Bank recently donated $1,000 to The Sutton Fourth, a grassroots effort aimed at establishing a town-wide annual Independence Day celebration. Organizers are planning a wide variety of activities, including a parade on Boston Road, a collection of food trucks on the common, local bands, children’s activities and, of course, a brilliant display of fireworks.
“We’re pleased to support the new Sutton Fourth Committee and their efforts to establish a grand Fourth of July event,” said Robert J. Morton, president and CEO of Millbury Savings Bank. “It’s a great example of people in the town working together to build a stronger community.”
The event is Sunday, June 30, beginning at 3:00 p.m., with the parade kicking off at Sutton Elementary School at 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit TheSuttonFourth.org.
