Millbury Savings Bank recently awarded scholarships totaling $4,000 to eight Millbury and Sutton high school graduating seniors.
In Millbury, Cole Mueller received the Community Spirit Award in Memory of Gail S. Higginbottom and will attend The University of Maine. Jaresa Burgos received the Achievement Award, and plans to attend Worcester State University. Emma Taubert received the scholarship in memory of long-time bank employee Marjorie Matson, and will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Nicholas Lazzaro received the Leadership Award and plans to attend Assumption College. And Tim Dunne received the Academic Merit Award and will attend University of Massachusetts Amherst.
In Sutton, Margaret Rzucidlo was awarded the Community Spirit Award and plans to attend Fairfield University. Madison Burek received the Academic Merit Award and will attend Framingham State University. And Gwyneth Bechunas earned the Leadership Award and plans to attend Loyola Marymount University.
